Client Requirement

As part of a kitchen renovation, the client required their existing cold rooms to be removed from the site and replaced with up-to-date rooms and refrigeration equipment capable of catering to large events. Because the rooms were a “seen product” visible from the servery, they specifically needed to be built into a tiled archway to ensure they looked the part.

Our Solution

Scandia attended the site to discuss the full requirements and schedule for the removal and fit-out of the new working cold rooms with the BofE. By redesigning the room layouts to optimise storage space, the BofE was left with functional, practical, and good-looking cold rooms with ample space for stacked products and trolley parking – made easier by the addition of an internal ramp.

To ensure the busy site could still operate and produce food for events during the installation, Scandia also provided temporary refrigerated trailers for the duration of the works.
