Type of Cold Room: Replacement Chiller Door

A high-specification replacement hinged chiller door mounted on a face frame, manufactured to exactly match existing dimensions to ensure uninterrupted kitchen operations.

Specifications

  • Style: Chiller hinged door on face frame.

  • Dimensions: 900mm x 1990mm clear opening.

  • Frame: 3-sided 125mm x 50mm stainless steel-clad plywood face frame.

  • Door Construction: 80mm PIR semi-rebate door with an anodised aluminium capping surround.

  • Fittings: Fermod 921 and Fermod 473 furniture, complete with a Fermod 67 gasket.

  • Vision Panel: Non-heated vision panel (205mm x 785mm clear vision) with a silver surround.

Client Requirement

HSBC bank in London caters for their staff in their canteens. Since the initial cold room fit-out, one of the doors had deteriorated and been condemned for replacement. One of our customers handling the maintenance required a quick replacement of the exact same specification and size in order for the kitchen to keep running as normal.

Our Solution

Communicating regularly with the maintenance firm, we worked out the correct specification and sizing. We safely removed the damaged door and replaced it with a new, fully working door of the same specification, only updated with modern components to ensure long-lasting durability.
