Client Requirement
A local seed factory needed a medium-sized seed chiller cold room to store seeds, but specifically needed the capability for an occasional 24-hour weekly low-temperature treatment.
Our Solution
To keep costs as effective as possible for the customer, Scandia built a cold room based near-on the maximum capacity of the integral unit, whilst still retaining enough duty to reach the lower temperatures required for the occasional seed treatment. Furthermore, we fitted a heater element to the door to ensure that the room still held its optimum ability and seal during the low-temperature treatment time.
