Working alongside a valued specialist customer, Scandia designed and constructed a bespoke, food-safe, temperature-controlled control room for a leading global cereal manufacturer at their Staverton factory.

A custom-built, food-safe modular room designed to provide a comfortable, temperature-controlled working environment directly on the floor of a busy manufacturing factory.
Specifications
Style: Temperature-Controlled Control Room.
Insulation: 80mm PIR panels throughout.
Doors: 900mm x 2000mm clear opening (c/o) hinged semi-insulated personnel door featuring a white food-safe finish on both sides, single inward swing, mortice latch and lock, and a self-closer.
Ventilation: 2 x 230mm x 230mm louvre panels for fresh air.
Vision Panels: 2093mm x 593mm polycarbonate 6mm toughened dual-pane vision panel.
Client Requirement
A leading global cereal manufacturer contacted one of our valued specialist customers to design and construct a food-safe, temperature-controlled control room inside their Staverton factory.
Our Solution
Throughout discussions, we offered proposed options which perfectly suited the end goal. During this process, we learnt that further practical elements could be incorporated into the build, such as fresh-air vents, polycarbonate insulated vision panels, and a lightweight personnel door.
We successfully achieved this result through a well-thought-out design by our customer and a full understanding of the desired end product by our in-house manufacturing and installation teams.
